Rosalinda Ruiz, my cousin who happens to be in SLC right now, asked
this question and suggested it for the group to ponder:
Sometimes the people of Huejucar, Jalisco took their children to be
baptised in the church in Huejucar. Sometimes they took their children
to be baptised in Santa Maria de Los Angeles, Jalisco. Before Santa
Maria they took them to Colotlan, Jalisco. But the records in Colotlan
only go back to 1718 and Colotlan has been around since 1591. So where
did the people record their baptisms, marriages, deaths, etc for the
missing 100+ years?
That question is not for the group. . .though if someone knows the
answer I'd dearly love to know.
The question for the group is "Would anyone be willing to participate
in a new 'info file' I'm going to put in the files area of the group?"
in this new info file we would put info like the above from your own
research. "well before this town the people went here to record their
baptisms and before that they went here to record their baptisms and
before that I don't know where they went."
So if any of you all want to share your info please send in your
particular areas particulars!
thanks,
joseph
ps: your info doesn't have to be in that exact format or include that
exact info. Because sometimes people took their children to one church
one time or to a very close neighboring church next time as long as it
was in the same jurisdiction. [as far as i know].
