Grandmother Guadalupe Davila/Avila, 1/Oct 1902, Villa Del Refugio,ZAC.(married to Angel Villegas) was one of 10 daughters born to Nicolasa Flores, 20 Dec 1885, Plateado and Librado Avila, 7 Nov 1881, Santiago, ZAC who was killed during the Revolution. She came to the USA as a teenage mother and her family remained in Mexico. I can not locate information about these sisters except for her oldest sister Francisca, 16 Apr 1901, Villa Del Refugio. What sources might provide information on the other 8 sisters? Thanks. Evie
Villa Del Refugio/Plateado
Evie,
You may have this, but I did quick search and found that Francisca Dávila was married to Alejandro Trejo on the 27 May 1953 in Villa del Refugio. I would be interested to follow your Flores line which may likely be the Flores Alatorre, a family I and many others descend on this forum. How far have you traced Nicolasa Flores' line? I have some lines around this region. Just some advice I call this the sticky region because many families travel a lot around here. I have a family and notice many others that are born in Calvillo will baptize their children in Tabasco (Villa del Refugio) then marry in Jalpa or Tlatenango and then die in Villanueva or vice-versa. Imagine all the archives you would have to search through. If you're lucky the families will stay in the same town for some time. If you need any further guidance please let me know, I am always available to guide new researchers, not knowing how much experience you have.
I hope this helps somehow,
Daniel Méndez de Torres y Camino
