Enrique,
I checked the site and under Regidor/Parque y Mercado you will find Ingeniero Hector Duran Avelar, he's my first cousin. His mom and my dad (deceased) were brother and sister. My aunt lives in San Jose 75% of the time and in Nochistlan the rest of the time.
Thanks for posting this, maybe someday I will get the opportunity to be there for this festival.
Alicia

I begin to write a summary of the the San Sebastian Feast, but my attempts to describe it could not do it justice to the essence of the feast. Instead, I suggest you go to the link above which describes in Spanish the Feast, its origin and the devotion of the people in Nochistlan.
On nuestros ranchos site I posted some photos I took of the feast.
enjoy!
Enrique

Air Travel Suggestion
On this past trip to Nochistlan, instead of flying into Guadalajara, I found that flying into Aguascalientes was easier, less crowded and much closer to most of towns the nuestros ranchos group is doing research. For example, Nochistlan is one hour away, Teocalitche is 40 minutes awas, Jalostotitlan is 45 minutes, La Estancia, 45 minutes....you get the idea.
Most towns have websites maintained by the local goverment, (Presidencia) or by the Club Sociales organized by "paisanos" in the U.S.
Alicia, have you been to Nochistlan? South San Francisco and San Jose have large Nochistlense communities.
