You mean the Visigoths coming to Spain during the middle ages, right?
The Celts, according to this article (and others I have read) had settled
in Spain even prior to the Romans who came around 200 B.C.
What I found fascinating was the Greek settlement of Spain!

Celts, Visigoths and Greeks in Spain
SORRY! YOU're RIGHT THE "CELTS" WERE IN SPAIN BUT NOT AS CELTS. THERE WAS A GERMANIC TRIBE THAT I ALSO DESCEND FROM; NAMED THE SUEVI, WHO SETTLED IN GALICIA, ESPAñA. THE SUEVI ARE IN A SENSE THE CELTS. CORRECT IF IM WRONG ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA, THE CELTS TRAVELED TO FRANCE AND SETTLED WITH THE FRANKS AND OTHERS, A PART OF THEM BROKE OFF AND WENT TO SPAIN AND WERE THE SUEVI. ITS A BIT CONFUSING, BUT SINCE THE VISIGOTHS WERE THE DOMINANT ONES IN SPAIN THEY EASILY MIXED WITH ALL SUEVI AND CELTS, AND BASICALLY WIPED THEM OUT AND CONQUERED THEM. FROM 500AD OR SO THEY WERE ALL KNOWN AS NOW VISIGOTHS. THE ENGLISH ALL DESCEND FROM CELTISH ORIGIN. THE FIRST PERSON TO EVER USE MéNDEZ AS A SURNAME WAS THE CHILDREN OF HERMENEGILDO MAUREGáTEZ (THIS SURNAME NO LONGER EXSITS), cONDE DE CELANOVA.
THE REASON WHY I HIGLIGHTED THESE TOP LETTERS. ARE SPELLED MENDO, WHICH IS A GERMANIC NAME MEANING WISE OR PHILISOPHICAL. HE WAS GRANDCHILD OF THE KING OF ASTURIAS, ALFONSO I, THAT IS HOW I DESCEND FROM MANY OF MY LINES TO ALFONSO I, THAT IS WHY IM SAYING IF ANYONE HAS THE -EZ IN THEIR LAST NAME THEY ARE RELATED. ALL THESE PATRONíMICOS, IT WAS VISIGOTH CUSTOM TO ADD THE -EZ, IZ OR AZ OR OZ AFTER THE FATHERS NAME TO SIGNIFY CHILD OF...THERE WAS ANOTHER FORM OF PATRONíMICO BASED ON THE FATHER'S NAME THEY WOULD JUST GIVE THE CHILD THE FATHER NAME AS THE CHILD LAST NAME. LIKE kING gARCíA i HAD KIDS HIS DAUGHTER WAS JUANA GARCíA, PRINCESA DE PAMPLONA. OBVIOUSLY THE GARCíAS ARE RELATED. THE ONLY TYPES OF SURNAMES THAT ARENT OR KNOWN TO BE RELATED ARE CARACTERíSTICAS, LIKE joSé cALVO OR jUAN dELGADO, LIKE THOSE. THE FATHERS FISRT NAME CALLED, NOMOPATRON, LIKE GARCíA WASN'T SO POPULAR BECAUSE IT WASNT GERMAN. ALFONSO i DESCENDANTS CAN BE RODRíGUEZ, méNDEZ, GUTIéRREZ, GONZáLEZ, MUNóZ, NúñEZ, AND SO ON...FOR YOU MENDOZAS OUT THERE. HURTADO IS THE OTHER UNPOPULAR FORM I WAS TALKING ABOUT. HURTADO WAS A MAN'S NAME. YáñEZ IS AN INTERESTING ONE IT WAS CREATED UNTIL THEY WENT TO PORTUGAL. ABOUT 1100 OR SO. IM NOT SAYING ALL THESE LAST NAMES WERE 1ST COUSINS, THAT IS HOW IT STARTED. BUT LATER IT SPREAD.
IF YOU TAKE A GONZALEZ PERSON AND EVENTUALLY KEEP GOING UNTIL THE MIDDLE AGES YOU WILL FIND HIS DIRECT ANCESTOR ON HIS GONZALEZ LINE WILL GO BACK TO ALFONSO i, IF SEEN IT IN ALL LAST NAMES THAT ARE PATRONíMICO. i CAN GO ON ON ABOUT THIS SUBJECT. ITS SO FASCINATING, BUT FOR THE SAKE OF TIME, I HOPE THIS HELPS ESPERANZA! -dANIEL méNDEZ DEL cAMINO

Celts, Visigoths and Greeks in Spain
You are right of course, the Germanic invasion of Spain is clear, however
there also appears to be other inhabitants to the Iberian peninsula that
predates the Germans, such as the Celts, who the Greeks defined as those that lived
in the most westerly part of Europe.
Having said that, there seems to be evidence that the Celts had traveled
throughout Europe even before Spain....being the first to spread the
Indo-European race and language...which further contributes to the confusion.
Nevertheless, there is no denial that both of our realities are
correct....as is the reality of African Moorish ancestry of Spain...whom are believed to
have arrived along with the Celts initially....and later on of course, after
the Visgoths.
History is fascinating...isn't it....especially as pertains to our
geneology....
