Hello,
I'm looking for people that lived in Monte grande around 1662-1689 (Spaniards). I looked for them in records from Pinos (defunciones- Church San Matias) and I couldn't find anyone from Monte Grande (at least Spaniards in the early records).
Any ideas what location they could be at?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

Where was Monte Grande?? I found the padrones for Monte Grande, and I was wondering where it was. Lots of mining haciendas - was it near Zacatecas, Zac?

Monte Grande is in Pinos Zacatecas. It is actually close to everything. Yes there were some mines in the area. If you have anyone in Pinos, definitely search in Monte Grande.
