I plan to upload some fresh additions but before I do that - given that more members have tested - I am posting this announcement in hopes that we get more interest and more additions.
If you want to add your details, please send me a private message and I will update. Please include:
1) mtDNA Haplogroup (A, B, C, D or X)
2) name of farthest ancestress you can document (mother's-mother's-mother, etc.)
3) date of birth for this ancestress
4) place of birth for this ancestress
5) your email address

I belong to 23 and me, and Ancestry.com, Still have not found anyone other than my sister Armida Shore, who is Haplogroup X2a1a. My great grandmother name was Vinita, I have no other information, although we believe she was from Chihuahua, Mexico.

this is a new one to me. is X2ala considered Native American?

I found this on-line but I don't know anything about it. You may want to check out this book.
X: Haplogroup X is found in Europe and Asia, and is believed to
have migrated to the Americas about 15,000 years ago, making up a very
small component of the Native American population.
Bryan Sykes in his Seven Daughters of Eve book named this mtDNA
haplogroup Xenia.
