To all those interested in a book of marriage dispensations from
Guadalajara, there is another book called "Index to the Marriage
Investigations of the Diocese of Guadalajara, 1653 - 1750" by Raul Guerra,
Nadine Vazquez and Baldomera Vela Jr., Edinburg, Texas 1989, Library of
Congress catalog card number: 90-93092.
This book is also out of print. I believe it is written in English, but I
don't have a copy. Does anyone out there have one?
Maria

I do know that the original Moras in los Altos married into the great Mendoza family. Juan de la Mora himself was also a Mendoza through his mother. (HE married his distant Mendoza cousin, very common). -Daniel
