Flores, Haro, Carillo

My maternal grandparents were from the Huejucar, Las Bocas area. This is what I know: Nicolas Flores, DOB abt 12/12/1885, Huejucar, Jalisco married Ignacia Haro DOB: 7/31/1892 in Huejucar, Jalisco. They were married 5/2/1908. I have a copy of the marriage entry. Nicolas' father was Bruno Flores and his mother Damasa Carillo. I approximate Bruno birthdate around 1870. Other children of Bruno and Damasa were Ignacio and Maria Zenona. Ignacia Haro's parents were Gorgonio (de) Haro and Vicenta Romero. Other children of Gorgonio and Vicenta were Rosa, Manuel, Felicitas, Felipe, Miguel, and Trinidad. Any additional information would be much appreciated.

Lety or anyone. Some of the information you've given me has a film and/or batch number. Is it possible to view this information? Where and how? Also the PAF file you shared has has Marcelo Carrillo B. 1809 and his son Jose Leonardo Carrillo B. 1797. Not possible so how do I interpret this? Typo? Thanks

Last week you asked Lety:

The film numbers are the microfilm numbers of the parrish register books from which the information comes. You can order these films for viewing at your local family history center... go to http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHL/frameset_library.asp to find your closest family history center.

The batch numbers are viewable online though the same site (familysearch.org). You can simply go to Advanced Search, select IGI (usually) or VRI (sometimes), type in the batch number and select "Mexico" from the location options and it will give you the extractions of the relevant film associated with the batch number.

You can also use the "Films" section of the site to go directly to the batches of film extractions available online organized by state and town, i.e. you can go to http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/films/Jalisco/1042 and you will see all of the batches available for Huejucar and you can browse through the extractions or search within a batch on any information, i.e. first name only, name of mother only, etc. which you cannot do without a batch number.

I hope this is helpful. There are probably others in the group that know the tricks of using the batch searching on familysearch.org much better than I, such as those that found your ancestor's information. I strongly suggest you get a good genealogy program (you can download PAF for free) to start keeping track of all of the information you collect as well as the sources of the information. It is very easy to loose track of information very quickly once you get started and documentation is a very important part of serious genealogy research.

Ademas de tener un teclado americano, no tengo buena ortografia pero quisa seria mas facil tratar de comunicar en espanol. La informacion que me da es fabulosa. Vive usted en Huejucar? En septiembre 2003, mis dos hermanas y yo llevamos a nuestra mama a Huejucar. Era su sueno conocer donde habian nacido sus padres. Ella fallecio en 2007. Cuando estuvimos en Huejucar conocimos a Lydia Mendoza Rivas. Ella nos dijo que tenia mucha informacion de la gente de Las Bocas pero nunca pudimos obtener esa informacion. Mil gracias, Irma
