Soy descendiente de don Domingo Hernández Gamiño y Juana Bravo de Laguna, por lo que he estado investigando a esta familia.

Hi everyone! I have a rather specific question. I am having an insight at my third great grandfather (i hope that's right) because I found that he was born out of wedlock in 1806. The registry literally says "legitimate son (I mean) illegitimate son of...", which is not only hilarious but puzzling. Two years later, in 1808, his parents did get married, however, I didn't find any dispensa, AND the registry does say the mother was a maiden. So I wonder what could've happened. Has anyone come across something similar? I'm guessing if they maybe kept it a secret? Also both parents are rather old; the father was 40 and a widow, and the mother was 30, never married. Being a small town in Nochistlán, it seems a bit off. Thanks in advance for your theories!

Online suggestions indicate her parents were Cristóbal Hernández Gamiño and María de los Ángeles Ruiz de Haro y Velasco.

In the book, "Genealogia de Nochistlan Antiguo Reino de la Nueva Galicia en el Siglo XVII Segun Sus Archivos Parroquiales" I am seeing the term "Moco" and "Moca" throughout and wondering if that is a misspelling of "mozo" and "moza"?  For example, here is an entry from page 104:

Maria Yniguez de Estrada, moca espanola doncella, hija de Lorenzo Mexia . . . (dated 1649 in Nochistlan)

In the 1998 edition of Spanish Colonial Terms (by Ophelia Marquez & Lilian Ramos Navarro Wold), they included the term "Mozo" and "Moza" as follows.  That seems to fit within the context here.  

Does anyone know the referenced term?  Thank you!

There is a list of notarial documents from Zacatecas on this website that were translated by Jaime Holcombe. One referred to a "testamento" in Zacatecas for a Margarita Tinoco. Does anyone know how to obtain or view the actual document online instead of the summary of it? Thanks.

   I am getting stymied with Jose Jesus Najar(b1760), father Manuel, mom Maria Gertrudis, married Maria de los Dolores 1780 Jalostotitlan.  I am finding multiple surnames for the mother and wife.  If anyone can help me keep moving back I would appreciate it.

The child's name is Joesph Maria Cleofas Ledesma. The entry is the last one (bottom right page). 

The part I need help with is this... After his name it says "espanol de los ???" I don't know what the next word is and I am wondering if it is signifigant.

I believe that this presentation came from the late Sergio Gutierrez on 2010-03-17 in LA. I think that someone named Miguel Tran....? reposted it on this site. My uncle is celebrating his 97th birthday, we think.  I found his baptismal record.  There is an abbreviation after "cuatro de Julio" i cannot make out.  I believe it stands for "presente pasado" but that wouldn't make sense.  Does it mean last year (1926) or the present year (1927) Anyone have an idea?  It is the second one from the top on the left page.

I dont know much about this family but it may help someone. It mentions Diego Padilla Davila son of Lorenzo Padilla Davila and Isabel Castro Mesa

Also mentions Diego's uncle Francisco Reynoso and aunt Alfonsa/Aldonza Hijar

In this document is my 3rd great grandfather Jose Dolores Jimenez. There is two separate pictures because the document was found on two different pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone, My name is Cynthia Saucedo & I am a descendant of Juan Zacharias Saucedo Udabe.  I see there are posts on Nuestros Ranchos that are over 10 years old from other descendants of the Saucedo, Udabe, Lopez de la Cerda family line.  If anyone researching this family line is still active on this website I would like to collaborate.  It seems there is a brick wall with the grandparents of Juan Zacharias.  I am researching the Saucedo/Udabe/de la Cerda line from Teocaltiche, Jalisco.  Christoval Saucedo married Feliciana Udabe López de la Cerda around 1711.  There is no marriage record for them.  I have not been able to find any sources with the names of Christoval Saucedo’s parents nor have I been able to find any siblings of Christoval Saucedo. The parents of Feliciana, his wife, are Isidro Udabe & Rosa Manuela Lopez de la Cerda.  There is no marriage record for them however, their children are listed as legitimate children in each of their marriage records.  I have not been able to find death/burial records for Isidro Udabe or Rosa Manuela Lopez de la Cerda.

I am new to the site and recently began researching my grandparents (Pedo Araiza and Elena Rodriguez), both who passed before I was born.  Both migrated to the U.S. and ran a restaurant called the Texcoco Inn (Houston, TX). Found a couple of articles about them from the Sig Byrd archives (writer in Houston) but not much else of their families in Mexico.

I was hoping to find out if anyone has any variation of the aforementioned names in their family history. I have had a challenging time finding information on my mother’s side of the family beyond GG grandfather Ladislao Ansures and a GGG grandfather Ciriaco Ansures. I believe there may be a connection to a sibling Simon, and i think they ultimately resided in Chihuahua. I find the names fascinating, though! Thank you for any information or suggestions!

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and would like to introduce myself.

   Does anyone have an easy way to show 15+ generation pedigree for relatives that are curious about from where we immigrated, but don't want to spend much time looking at it?  You know the ones, they are not into genealogy, but they are interested in the direct line all the way back to the 1500's.  Some of those pedigree charts get really small.  Is there something on multiple pages that I could lay out on a table?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am fairly new to genealogical research, but I am trying to establish solid proof a one particular line going back 15 generations. I have been able to establish many of the generations, but I am having some trouble with a few. I have searched this site (and others) and have read many of the forums on this site, which offered great help, but have not been able to locate documentation for some generations. I only included marriage dates for the moment, but can include other information, if needed. I will follow with the generations I am trying to link and find documentation for. I also realize that some names may vary as individuals sometimes shortened or used a variation of their surnames. Below is the lineage starting with myself:
