ATTE.

HI N.R. Members:
I have just received my Y-DNA profile. I belong to the Haplogroup: E1b1b1-M35. The report states the following: "E1b1b1 lineages probably dispersed into the Middle East, Southern Europe and Southern Africa." Since having traced my ancestors all the way back to Hermosilla, Burgos, Spain, I would say that the group which I belong would be Southern Europe. "Expansion into Southern Europe occurred with the Middle Eastern farmers during the Neolithic period. The entry of E1b1b-M81 into Iberia probably occurred with a later migration event via the Straight of Gibraltar when Arab-influenced Berbers occupied the Iberian Peninsula. Consequently, E1b1b1-M35 and its subclades are now the third most frequent haplogroup in Europe".
I would like to know if any other members of Nuestros Ranchos belong to this haplogroup also, I would like to hear from you. I have already found near perfect matches in Tepatitlán and Jalostotitlán, Jalisco.

John, hope you are thinking of adding your DNA results to Gary Felix site.. Congrats on taking the step to finding other genetic relatives.

Hi John,
My father was born in Tepatitlan. His Haplogroup is J2b1, M102+ and
M205+. Have you come across any J2b's in Tepatitlan? Where are you
finding others from Tepatitlan who have tested? I've traced his
direct line back to about 1830 and all were born in Tepa. I have not
found any matches to his DNA on FTDNA or YSearch. J2b1 also
originated in the Middle East with the largest concentration being
found in Iran and Greece. Interesting.

Hi Linda:
I was tested by Genetree and in their database is where I found the people
from Tepatitlan and Jalostotitlan who had also had their Y-DNA analyzed. I
have not had a chance to search other databases.
For great and extensive information on DNA and detailed information on each
haplogroup you can go to Genebase.com. Go to Tutorials, from the left side
of the page select "Y-DNA Haplogroups", from the next window select "Learn
about Y-DNA haplogroup J" which is the second choice down. There is an
awful lot of information here, including world maps of the distribution of
the groups. Scroll down in this page until you find the group you are
interested in.
Good luck.
