Muchas gracias por esta invaluable informacion, me va a servir muchisimo, ya que soy mama de dos niños y me es dificil desplazarme al Centro de la ciudad y buscar en los rollos de microfilm, ahora podre realizar mi busqueda con mas calma =)
I just wanted to let everyone know, that Family Search has uploaded quite a few of the parish records for Jalisco, to FamilySearch.org . I am not sure of how extensive they are, but there quite a few cities listed. And I have only checked out Ciudad Guzman and Sayula. but for those 2 cities, it almost has the entire collection.
WOW! Fabulous. Putting the films online has really pumped up my
research. Lots of breakthroughs in such a short time. I'm not nearly
organized enough to keep up with it.
I just checked Colotlan, Santa Maria de Los Angeles, Huejucar y Ojuelos
and they looks pretty complete also

Thanks Jonathan, for letting us know about this wonderful news!
I just checked it and it looks like it has most of the microfilms from Zacoalco de Torres. This is great, since up to 70% percent of my family lines are from this area in Jalisco. I can see Atenguillo, Lagos de Moreno, Tlajomulco, Sayula, Guadalajara, Atotonilco el Bajo, you name it.

Im very pleased and exited. I have not felt like this in a while, a kid in a candy store so much
to do and choose but overwhelming. Not only is all Jalisco areas online the Archives for the
Dioceses of Guadalajara, Capellanias and Dispensas Matrimoniales. I hope to see notaries,
wills, and Land grants here in the future.
Hi, so, where are exactly these Dispensas Matrimoniales from Jalisco?
Are they under one these paths mixed with other records?:
Mexico, Jalisco, Catholic Church Records > Guadalajara > Diócesis de Guadalajara > Matrimonios
Mexico, Jalisco, Catholic Church Records > Guadalajara > Sagrario Metropolitano > Información matrimonial
The way I understand it, any couple that got married would be listed under Matrimonios and Información Matrionial, but only those who were somehow releated would be under Dispensas matrimoniales.
Registros de Jalisco ahora
