Well, I will go out on a limb here, and offer a pot of frijoles and
arroz to all who make the trip to DC in summer 2007. I live in Fairfax
County, VA, just across the river from Washington, DC., and I would be
honored to break tortillas with you in my home.

Natalie:
Thank you for the offer to host Ranchos members in DC. Would this be for the Hispanic Genealogy Symposium at NARA where we met last year?
Thank you for taking such diligent notes on those border crossing records. I have put in an inquiry with the Archivist regarding the remainder of the El Paso records so there may be home yet.
I also live in DC and would be very happy to co-host and help cook for anybody who comes. I live walking distance from NARA.
DC meeting, summer 2007
I used to live in Woodbridge and then in Old Town Alexandria b4 I made
it to the prairie lands. Marge:)

Natalie, Joseph and Arturo, Be careful what you wish for, you may have an onslaught of Californio's in the DC/Virginia/North Carolina area, not only Californio's but the rest of the country. As for me it is still too far away to begin making plans but I will keep it on the back burner and if you remind us again in a few months or so I'm sure we will be ready to begin to give it some serious thought and maybe if all the stars line up we can make it happen. Thanks to all for the generous invitation, the food sounds yummy and as for me I can cook and eat anywhere, anytime. I volunteer to cook something if someone will lend me a kitchen. Hasta luego, Alicia Avelar Olmos de Carrillo San Jose, Ca.
