Will there be a Who's who component on Nuestros Ranchos like there is
on Yahoo Ranchos Group? Or another way to search who elso is
reaearching same/similar surnames?
Just wondering. Thanks for all of your work in setting up the new
website - still trying to learn how to get around.

Who's Who on Nuestros Ranchos
Natalie:
All of the information from the Who's Who database from the YahooGroups Ranchos site is now part of people's profiles. You can simply type a surname or place name into the search field in the upper right of the new site and then when results come up, you click on the "USERS" tab and it will bring up all of the usernames who have the surname or place name in their user profiles.
You can also browse through the entire list by clicking on "Files" and then clicking on "Browse through profiles" link in the text of the page that comes up.
I uploaded all of the Who's Who database when I uploaded usernames and IDs but there were a few where I could not match up the name in the Who's Who database with a username and were left out. Also, the majority of people had NOT filled out an entry in the Who's Who database.
So everybody, when you get a chance, please log on to the new site and click on "My Account" and then click on the "Edit" Tab... you will then have the choice to edit different aspects of your account information... the first page that pops up is "Account Settings" where you can change your password, etc.
The Second Option is your "Personal Information"... Full name and location.
THE THIRD OPTION IS "RESEARCH"
Here is where you should type in all of the surnames and locations you are currently researching. This is VERY important. If you do not fill this in, members cannot easily determine whether they have research interests similar to yours or if they have information that may be useful to you.
This is perhaps one of the most important aspects of our group and something that we built into the new website explicitly. But it will only work if everyone provides the necessary information.
