Please unsubscribe me from your very busy list. Thank you.
============================
I just got this message from a brand new member. the list has been
pretty busy these last few days, but just in case anyone else was
considering a move like this I would strongly recommend not
unsubscribing but first going to the "digest" version of the list which
is one email per day with all the activity that took place that day from
all the members OR even going to "no mail" and you can just login and
check the email when you have a change online.
let me know if you need help doing any of this but really all you need
to do is:
1) login
2) go to "my account"
3) go to my "my mailing lists"
4) make changes and "save"

Unsubscribing from the group
Adding to Joseph's comments about your mailing list preferences... everyone should note that if you unsubscribe from the group altogether you will not be able to access all of the restricted areas of the site. You do not have to receive emails from the lists in order to be a member. As Joseph mentioned, there is a "Digest" option whereby you receive only one email from the list per day with all of the postings that were made that day.
That means that you can choose to have one or all lists on "Digest" or if even this is too much for your mailbox, simply select "No Mail" and then you will not receive any postings but you will still be able to post to the lists and the webiste via email.
I personally have only the "Research" list emailing me as these are the messages that usually require feedback and more immediate attention. I check the other messages from the other lists on the site every couple of days.
The "No Mail" option is also useful when you go on vacation. Rather than having the list fill up your mailbox while you are not able to access it, you can simply turn off the mailings for a week (or two if you are lucky enough to take vacations that long) and then change it back to Digest or All Mail when you get back.
