Why is this taking so long? I also am awaiting a Roll of Microfilm, and
it is so far 2 months... Thank you Rose for informing us of this option.
I also like looking at the WHOLE film.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the slow turn around time at Salt Lake for ordering microfilm. I
have started to order the documents I need. It takes about 2 weeks to
get the copies. I ordered 3 microfilmed rolls and now it's been over 2
months. They are running very far behind....I had heard about 6 months
behind.
I first check familysearch.org and obtain the necessary information on
the person I want the document on and use form: "Request for
Photocopies-Census Records, Books, Microfilm, or Microfiche"
The form can be downloaded from:
http://www.ldscatalog.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?cata
logId=10151&storeId=10151&categoryId=13691&langId=-1&cg1=13679&cg2=13689
&cg3=&cg4=&cg5=
The item # is: 31768000
Hope this information is helpful for those who are new or those like me
who are inpatient. I still would like to see the film....but I get
antsy.
Happy New Month

Slow turn around on films
I have been told by church members that they are not concentrating on copying the microfilms so much, but are trying to get everything digitized. My cousin waited 6 months for a film he ordered in November, he finally received it about a week ago....I dare say that we may be all in the same boat. I did receive one film within two weeks, but probably due to the fact I had ordered it before. Let's just keep our fingers crossed....in the mean time I too am working on another book and ordering documents for my other cousin who has Aguascalientes relations...just got to keep busy.
