I see that the Mariachi Cardenal is still alive and well at Stanford. Here's the link to their website. Too bad you can't make it to the festival but who knows, they may repeat the Mariachi College Bowl next year.

This sounds really cool! I wish I could make it.
As a founding member of Mariachi Cardenal de Stanford in 1995 I hope my alma mater makes a presence. I haven’t kept up with the college mariachi scene in many years, but good luck to Mariachi Cardenal de Stanford if they participate.
This email reminded me of my favorite T-shirt which said the following:
Harvard, because not everyone can get into Stanford. Ha ha, let’s go Mariachi Cardenal!
