Monica:
There are some interesting entries in the familysearch website for potential matches to the family you are looking for. The mother's surname does not match, but that is not as uncommon as you may think.

Hi, Mu name is Monica Medina, i'm mexican currently living in Montpellier, France.
I've started my genealogical research and I have roots in Zacatecas, this are the names:
Ines de la Rosa Sandoval (my greatgrand mother) was daugther of Juan de la Rosa and Narcisa Sandoval. They come from Fresnillo, Zacatecas I haven't found more information on dates, but I keep on researching.
Also, for the family of my mom I know that Ontiveros surname comes from Zacatecas, but i'm not 100% sure, does anyones knows if this is true?
Thank you,
Monica

Bienvenue, Sandra, welcome to the group,
Yes, we all find that often the women used many different last names.
In the records for some of my ancestors in Zacatecas I find that a different
last name for the mother was used almost for each child's baptism. This is
because women used their mother's maiden names as well as their own, or they
used their step-mother's maiden names if they had been raised by the
step-mother. One time I found that they had entered the grandmother's name
instead of the mother's. This may have happened because the mother and
father stayed home and it was the padrinos who took the baby to be baptized and
they didn't know the correct names. I have also found where men used their
mother's maiden names instead of their father's last names. That could be
because it was thought to be better to use the name of the espanoles (or rich
grandparents) instead of the real father's name.
My father was born in Jerez. His last name was Olague Tinajero.
The Tinajeros for some reason also used to use the last name of Felis
[Felix]. Other last names of my ancestors from Jerez and Tepetongo and
Salitrillo were Suriano, Munos, Quijas, Flores, Campos, de Aro [Haro], Salazar,
Miranda, Acevedo, Mata, Lucio, Valdes, Escovedo, Banegas, Ramires, [de la]
Torre, Berumen.
