Family Tree Software

I bought the Family Tree Maker 2005 from Ancestry.com and was
wondering how can I save the information as a file to post it here
on this message board. I have updates and stuff but I'm still doing
some verification of my Aguirre roots in Tlaltenango de Sanchez
Roman.

San Jose De Llanetes

Looking for San Jose de Llanetes information. I know that they were
owned my the Miranda family. There was also San Miguel de Los
Puertos. These are 2 haciendas owned my the Miranda family that my
family comes from... Some of the names in my lineage are Ybarra,
Barrios, Martinez, Magallanes, Rivera, Hernandez, Pinzon. Any help
would be appreciated...

Thanks.

Wow! How could I overlook the age factor? Even considering Rosalia's fertile period of 19 years (from 1765 to 1784), marrying at eleven seems too farfetched! :)

MA. DE

Raigosa/Raygoza

Glad you found Joseph Dionicio's parents. I thought it would be one
of these two:

JOSEPH DIONICIO RAYGOSA MOJARRO
Gender: Male Christening: 06 DEC 1731 Tlaltenango De Sanchez Roman,
Zacatecas, Mexico

JOSEPH DIONICIO RAIGOSA MARTINES
Gender: Male Christening: 05 MAR 1741 Tlaltenango De Sanchez Roman,
Zacatecas, Mexico

I wonder if the Rosalia could be this one instead:

MA. DE LA LUZ ROSALIA CASTANEDA LOPES
Gender: Female Christening: 11 APR 1745 Tlaltenango De Sanchez Roman,
Zacatecas, Mexico

The other one seems too young to be married in 1764, though I do
realize sometimes people did get married that young...

I'll send you a list of the descendants that I have tomorrow.

Hello Alberto,

My great grandmother, Margarita Pinedo, was from El Salto.
I've always assumed this "El Salto" is a place located a few miles
northeast of Colotán, Jalisco, but on the state of Zacatecas, near
Villanueva.

The reason why I think my "El Salto" is located in Zacatecas and not
to be confused with "El Salto, Jalisco", which is Southeast of
Guadalajara, is because my great Grandfather was from Colotlán, which
is relatively close. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Hope this answers your question.
Regards!

Angie,

I reviewed the Raygoza records you posted. All seems to indicate
that they are indeed siblings, as the parents names, the location and
the dates coincide. I'm adding them for now to my tree and
I'll make
a note to verify on microfilm.

I went two generations further on the Raygoza line, as I have now
Francisco Roman De Raygoza, father of Josseph Dionicio and Joseph de
Raygoza father of Francisco Roman . Please review the updated
GabinaMartel file on my folder, from the sixth generation and up.

Regarding Rozalia Castaneda, wife of Josseph Dionicio, I have one
candidate from the same batch number of baptismal records, which is
the following:

MARIA

Jerez, Zacatecas

    Steven,

I guess you saw how I was rambling on and on about music and such and
decided to send this to see if I'd root out the gold. Well I'm sure
there is other Gold in this issue but the URL:
http://www.nuevosvalores.com/index.htm is so so cool. Thanks for
bringing this issue to our attention. Also I see there is a nice: Afro-Mexican
Racial & Ethnic Self-Identity: thesis abstract by Alva Moore
    Stevenson
    article and also a
    1653
    Sancta Provincia de Xalísco:
Carlos Martín Herrera de la Garza
article. Yes this particular issue is rich for all of us. Not to
mention what other info we can find.

I don't know why i've been negligent but Mimi Lozano's notification of
a new issue email should be posted every month. Thanks for doing this
and if you want to great otherwise I'll start posting her notification
    message on the group regularly.

    thanks Steven,

    Castaneda was: Raigosa/Raygoza

cool cool cool, I'm a Castaneda and would very very much be interested
in who Rozalia's parents are. Per chance might they be: Luis Castaneda
and Melchora Miramontes? If we find out this question it might mean

    consider ordering it.

Thank you very much for your input.

I do have a Maria Alvina Raygoza as my 4th great grandmother. My records indicate that she was the daughter of Josseph Raygoza and Rozalia Castaneda. But now I just have two of her siblings: Maria Antonia and José Pablo.

I have a copy of a microfilmed birth record of one
of my ancestresses in Jerez, Zacatecas, where she is listed as a mestiza.
In Mitra Sacrada, by Luz Montejano Hilton, there's a marriage/consanguinity
record of my ancestress' parents and their ancestors where they are clearly
noted as espagnol.  Lastly, her son's birth record lists him as
espanol.  I think whichever priest wrote the record was sleeping on

    A little bit of history....
These two states are not only next to each other,
Aguascalientes was once part of Zacatecas!
Approximately in 1845, the President, or dictator, of
Mexico, Santa Ana, punished Zacatecas for being to
independent by taking Aguascalientes away from them.

There was a liberal movement in Zacatecas against
Santa Ana led by Francisco Garcia Salinas, an ancestor
from Jerez, that antagonized Santa Ana. So he punished
them by taking away Aguascalientes from them and
    making it a state.

Poor Mexico, this was just one of the many disasters
that would happen to Mexico and its people for the
    next 160 years.
