These forum posts are from the old “Ranchos Archives” which was part of a Yahoo Groups system that operated between 2003-2006. This was a hybrid of electronic mailing lists and internet message boards. I'm soooooo excited. I just got off the phone with my 2nd cousin Roy Raygoza from Antioch, CA. Seems that his grandfather, Nicolas was brother to my Grandmother, Antonia Lopez. The big big big news is that his parents are from Huejucar, Jalisco the same place he says that my grandmother is from. That being said I'm off to the races again inserarch of this line of elusive relatives on my maternal Grandmother's side. . .her name is Antonia Lopez.
I just ordered two films from Huejucar. . .are there any Lopez in the group from Huejucar by chance?
joseph
ps: previous to this discovery I had doubts as to the true name of my maternal Grandmother as she went by several aliases. But I've heard it from 3 separate independant sources and thats good enough for me. If I can find a Lopez family in Huejucar that had two children named Nicolas and Antoniia I think I'll be on
the right trail. I can't
DEAR MAKAS:
IS THERE A SYSTEM OTHER THEN USING THE "GREAT" WORD TO NUMBER
SITUATION IN THE LINE? WOULD IT BE CORRECT, INSTEAD, TO NUMBER AS
FALLOWS: SON, FATHER-MOTHER, GRANDPARENTS, GREAT-GRANDPARENTS, AND
THEN MENTION THEM AS THIRD-GRANDPARENTS, FOURTH-GRANDPARENTS AND
SO FORTH? I THINK THAT WAY IT'S EASIER TO VIEW THEIR PLACES IN THE
GENS LINE.

There is an edition published in Mexico as well with a different ISBN. I have perused through the book at the Library of Congress. It is very well indexed, and has a good deal of informtion though it is a bit cryptographic as all of the information is provided in abbreviations so as to save page space... name of Ramos instead to his children.
It seems that children born after the priest changed in the parish got
the name Aranzazu.
