These forum posts are from the old “Ranchos Archives” which was part of a Yahoo Groups system that operated between 2003-2006. This was a hybrid of electronic mailing lists and internet message boards. The files are “Read Only” and many of the users of the Yahoo Groups are not part of the new NuestrosRanchos membership, so keep this in mind when viewing these message posts and replies.

Thats funny. I'm driving up on Thursday
the 28th to Oakland because we "Iglesias" are having a huge Quinceñera on the 30th, so its going to be like a family reunion with people from Mexico, Oregon, and So. Cal. I also have relatives in San Jose. Oh Joseph, I have a friend whos family is from Zacatecas her last name is Conde and are related to Puentes & Villegas. Maybe there is a connection . . . Also, I'm ready send an updated family history. Do I send it directly to you?? ~Janet

No, the information is all contained on the website. When I ordered the cds, I was hoping I would be able to search the data differently then the website allows. But I was not able to. The Search rules are a little more flexable but not by much. I then attempted to upload all the data from the cds into a PAF program and merge families, etc... I worked on it for months before deciding that it was impossible! Oh well... is there information on those disks that is unavailable on the Yes, I have it. The VRI is different from the IGI. You can search the VRI at: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp? PAGE=vr/search_VR.asp&clear_form=true You can search the IGI at: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp? PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true I think there is a small overlap betweent the two but it is very small. And when you compare the IGI data vs the VRI data, the VRI usaually has more. As far as Totatiche (since this is my area of study and I am familar with this area), these films are included in VRI: Christening - Totatiche, Jalisco, Mexico C617077 1798-1820 1164017 C617078 1820-1833 1164018 C617079 1833-1846 1164019 Marriage - Totatiche, Jalisco, Mexico M617071 1755-1807 1164031 M617072 1807-1853 1164032 M617073 1853-1883 1164033 M617074 1883-1895 1164034 I'll see if I have a |

Are you related to Gutierrez and Gonzalez families from Pugueros which is located next to Tepatitlan? The reason I'm asking is that my wife is from Pegueros and is related to Gutierrez and Gonzalez families from that town. Something I noticed when I visited that part of Mexico: The women are very beautiful! Maybe it is the water?
