Gonzales, Gtz, Perez, Franco, etc.,

Hi Irma:

Possibly the reason you didn't find  a
connection to a  my "Cornejo"  might be becuase my grandmother wasn't
from Jalos, she was from San Juan de Los Lagos.

I just found that out last friday, talking to my
cousin who lives in Yucaipa.

color=#0000ff size=2>Of the Jalos surnames you mentioned, the only surname I
don't have is Cornejo, but I know two Jalos families with that surname who
live in a nearby town in Northern Calif.  Two brothers of which one
married a Gonzales and the other married a Gutierrez of
course.    I am distantly related to the wives.

My Cenobio was born in 1846 in Jerez. His parents were Prudencio
Gonzalez and Severiana Salcedo. Cenobio's first wife was Ma. Eleuteria
Tobar born in 1849 in Jerez (I think, her siblings were born in
Tlatenango de Sanchez Roman). Her parents were Mauricio Tobar and Ma.
Petra Escobedo Sandobal. They were from Tlatenango originally. Cenobio
and Eleuteria had 3 children that I know of--Josefa, Candelaria, and
Jesus

Hi John & Ranchos Group,

Lets start another Fiesta   ......   My dad makes the best
carnitas!

I see a connection already, but on the Gtz
side.  Pedro Gtz' parents were Florentino de San Miguel Gtz & Maria
Francisca Romo (who ties into the Romos of Santa Ana).

Your Pedro Gtz was brother to my GG Grandfather
Dionicio Gtz.  You have another prima in Ranchos, but I'll let her
introduce herself.

I also have a
connection via Antonia Franco.

I'll email you privately with the rest, and spare the rest.  I have
a little on your Gonz.,  Maybe if I give you a little more info, we'll
figure them out too.

Thank you for the information, but I don't

Let me give you  a quick run

Introduction

Somewhat, Connie, I think we had determined that we MIGHT be related but not sure.

My Cenobio was born in 1846 in Jerez. His parents were Prudencio Gonzalez and Severiana Salcedo. Cenobio's first wife was Ma. Eleuteria Tobar born in 1849 in Jerez (I think, her siblings were born in Tlatenango de Sanchez Roman). Her parents were Mauricio Tobar and Ma. Petra Escobedo Sandobal. They were from Tlatenango originally. Cenobio and Eleuteria had 3 children that I know of--Josefa, Candelaria, and Jesus Gonzalez. Cenobio was widowed around 1878 or 79.

I don't know when my great-grandparents married--I do know that he was a LOT older than his second wife--he and his first wife had kids that were the age of his second wife and her siblings. Anyway, he married Ma. Francisca Saldivar and had Paula, Ma. Altagracia, Matteo, Francisco, Juan, Sarah, and Jose. That's the scoop so far. I have details on Eleuteria's siblings...such as their names. Marge:)

Introduction

Hi again!

Marge, I did go through your files…and was
caught by the one on Altagracia Gonzalez. Do you have
any info on Cenobio Gonzalez’s extended family?

Thanks,

My Tio en Jerez

I recently visited my Tia Maria who is 93 years young and had a great time listening to her as she shared her pictures and stories. I took my small recorded and just listened and asked questions as we viewed picture by picture.  My cousin helped scan each photo and tried naming each pic as we went along for about three hours. I know my Tia won't be with us for too much longer and I sure am thankful for her patience and generosity.  I have tried visiting in person or by phone with my older relatives and believe me they love the company and the attention.  So don't hesitate, JUST DO IT
