otaining a Freedom of Information Act

...no problem Jose.  I have used it a many a times for my personal use also.  The farthest back records that I received so far, were from 1907.  I knoew they came across somewhere in Texas but had no idea where.  So I sent it off to the INS Regional office in Mesquite, Texas.  It took about 4 months, but I finally did receive it.  It always helps, if you know about what area of the country your kin entered.  Good luck and please keep us informed...

...Jose, the forms may be found at the link that I geve Joseph on my last
post concerning this matter.  I included a copy of the actual G-639 on
that post.  However if you missed it, I will include the link here.
Just scroll down the forms sheet & locate the G-639 & download or save
it to your computer.  Hope this helps...

Maria,

Here's some information you may or may not already have...

VICENTE HUERTA

source records are usually arranged chronologically by the marriage

+ Sometimes Vicente's wife is referred to as Justos, but I think she
is actually Frutos or Frustos. The names are too similar to be two
different people. Have you taken a look at this extract? If you
haven't, you should order the extract of film...it might list the
names of the parents.

1818 Villanueva Census: Ranchos List

look in the files for the census records of Dr. Lyman Platt, Zacatecas.

in the Ranchos2 files area is also a list of the ranchos I found for
the 1818 Villanueva Census film. I see a rancho named Paloma Viejas but
not La Vieja (not
saying it is not there but just that it might have slipped by me).

Joseph,

I was wondering where you
found the 1818 Villanueva
census.  I am looking for a rancho in Jerez called La Vieja. Every person
that I
talked to in Jerez including the
Cronista for Jerez
has not heard of
this rancho.  I have a document with my 3rd-great
grandfather
being born on this rancho.

Any help to point my in
the right direction would be
nice.  I have looked at the Family
History Center
catalog for censuses in Zacatecas and Mexico.  I haven’t seen
anything promising there.  Maybe I’m looking in the wrong category.
It won’t be the first time I wasn’t in the right category.

Huerta Surname - Zacatecas

Hi Angie,
I have not been able to locate Vicente Huerta's parents. Vicente was
born in 1824 and he was married to Maria Justo Navarro who was born
in 1828. The only child I have so far is my great great grandfather
Secundino Huerta who was born in 1852. He married Maria Josefa
Rodela, born in 1852. Their child, my great grandfather, was Otilio
Huerta born in 1888.

If anything sounds familiar, let me know.
Maria

Huerta Surname - Zacatecas

Hello Maria,

I am also researching the Huerta Surname. I can trace my family to
Jose Guadalupe Huerta married to Juana Maria Sandoval on March 8, 1788
in Momax, Zacatecas. This family later moved to the Colotlan, Jalisco
area. Do you happened to know the name of Vicente Huerta's wife,
parents, children? Take a look at my Huerta Family in the files
section.

Good luck on your search,
Angie Godina
