Doctorate Study about Zacatecas

Here's a very interesting document I googled about Zacatecas. It talks of the clubs in the USA called the 3x1 or formerly 2X1. In San Jose the Governor of Zacatecas came for a fundraiser two weeks ago. She was invited by the local club Zacatecano and unfortunately we could not attend as we were out of town for a convention. This is an effective method of networking for your geneaology group. The San Jose, Ca, club de Tlachichila will be holding a dance and fundraiser next month and I've been recruiting people to attend via the roots web page. I'll let you know how this goes as it goes.

...Joseph...I found the FHC here in Norman.  I guess I am one of the lucky ones, as this is only about a mile from my home.  What is sad, is I used to live in Salt Lake City and never did any of my own research.  I was always helping everyone else...smile.

I never even thought about the FHC, until you mentioned them just now in this post!  I was thinking "foreign", how much fun was I gonna have looking for them.  I may luck out pretty good.  I sure hope so, so I can give my Mother-in-Law something really special for Mothers Day this year.  Thank you so very much for "knocking" my brain into thinking...

     Hola Helyn
It must be nice living in California, I live in El Paso, Tx. lots of sun, great food, music, culture and friendly people. I am also hooked on the novelas and I watch four a day.
I wonder, what computer program are you using for your genealogy? I have been very pleased with Family Tree Maker, I started with version 8 upgraded to 10 and I just found version 12 at SAMS Club for 40 dollars.
I am also searching for other lines and that demands good record keeping and organization. I happen to have a partner in crime and that makes it more fun for both of us. We also belong to the El Paso Genealogy Society. I help in my own way by reading Smeltertown Cemetery records which will be put on the Tex Gen Web Cemetery Project. Today my cousin Margaret and I were at the Cemetery with my trusted Digital Camera. Talk about Old West Cemetery, dusty, rocky and very third world. It is very

SEVILLA/APODACA/OCAMPO

My mothers side of the family is all Ocampo but are from El Remolino,
Zacatecas. I know that she has aunts and uncles, sibilings of my
grandfather who are Ocampos, who lived and some who are living in
different parts of Jalisco. Is there any other names you have with the
Ocampo last name??
