According to the website 70 members are signed up for the Announce list.
So If I'm understanding things correctly 70 of you should receive this.
Helyn and Mickey are you there?
If you receive this email then you are properly subscribed. Helyn resend
that message you sent yesterday as it never made it through to the
group. Maybe you will be the Spark that stimulates some conversation.
Mickey if you get this why not tell us something new about your research.
Anyone else getting this (there should be 68 of you) what new and
exciting thing is happing in your world of genealogy. Anybody have
something they want to Announce?
[Note: this is the Announce list. . .we should "try" to keep Research
topics on the "Research" email list: research@nuestrosranchos.org and
"General" topics on the General email list: general@nuestrosranchos.org]
thanks,
joseph

Something new about my research? Elusive ancestors hiding in the hills of
Aguas and Zac...The Bobadilla's, Carlos', etc.
Learned a few new tricks from Kitty. Boy, she is great. I have a lot of
work to do before I get to SLC.
I am researching the towns of Calvillo, Tlaltenango, Colotlan, and I have a
question. Sometimes the records state "Huejucar", is this the area? Is this
Calvillo? Or is the whole valley Huejucar. When did the area split
up>....I am thinking that I may be looking in the wrong place for some records.
Could some records from Calvillo be elsewhere? Where were the records sent - to
Guadalajara?
Am I making myself clear?

I can only comment as I don't have answers. I know that it is a bit
confusing about the Valle de Huejucar and the Town of Huejucar.
the Valle de Huejucar is Aguascalientes I believe while the town of
Huejucar is just north of Colotlan and Santa Maria de Los Angeles in
Jalisco.
I need to apologize but I believe that Gloria Delgado (or was it Peggy)
sorry I can't remember, anyway she posted some material on the Parochia
del Valle de Huejucar on the old Ranchos yahoo group that I just
uploaded to the new site. I wanted to put it together but the Word
document is in the "reference material" section
(http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/14529) while the jpeg fotos of some
census records of the Ranchos therein are in the Albums
(http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/14526)
