Ray and Iniguiz family line

José,

I do have a line of Iniguez gong back to the early 1700's and would be pleased to exchange information.  I do not have the, Elena or her father Emilio, that you mentioned.  If you have other names or data to send me, do it at this address, rayjaur@...  and we will start from that.

Alicia,

Yes, we have communicated before directly, off the yahoo line.  You told me then you were getting ready for the Sacramento meeting and would get in touch with me on returning the following Monday.  Is it Monday yet???

I would be pleased to receive what you have found on the Jauregui / Iniguez lineages so we can compare data.   If you wish you can contact me directly again at rayjaur@....

Irma, Ray and Jose Luis,

I'm afraid I was too hasty in saying that the Xauregui's were not to be found in Jose Luis' book. You know what they say, haste makes waste.
I found many chapters that reference Xauregui's. I did not find them initially because they fall under the descendants of families of different names. The book has 100 chapters but none of the chapters have titles with Xauregui's listed.

In order to find this surname you must go to the other index towards the back of the book which identifies pages where a specific surname can be found.

If anyone wants me to do a lookup just give me a name and an approximate date. Most of the Xauregui's in the book were in Nochistlan Zac but a few were in Juchipila Zac, Xalostitlan Jalisco, Mexquiticacan Jalisco, and many references to La Sagrada Mitra de Guadalajara and Luz Montejano Hilton, also the Archivo General de
Indias.

There are sevaral chapters with Yñiguez descendants in the title. I believe it was Ray

Ray and Iniguiz family line

Ray ; What do you know about the Iniguiz line ? I only have a few members identified, my great grandmother - Elena Iniguiz from Jamay, Jalisco and her father Emilio Iniguiz. My mother said she was told that the Iniguiz were a good family  from Spain.
I wonder if you could tell me what you have learned about them as a family and I wonder if we may be related through that family.  My mom was a Ramirez, from Guadalajara, Jalisco. but that is another story.
This site is the finest site of good and gracious people. Reading the crossing E-Mails is always a pleasure and sometimes most heart warming. God bless them all.

Thank you,

Jose L. Macias

José,

My mother's line is the Iniguez I am researching.  She once told me her family (the number of people) was not very large and my search so far seems to confirm this.

Susana,

Yes, I am still going, to the FHL. I get done, there 2 to 3 times, a
month. In fact, I am trying right now, to get approved, so that I can
teach classes at the FHL. And also, that the Library workers, can use
my disc, in helping the patrons.

When you come, in May. Just let me when you are coming, and I will
make arraangements, to be there.

Also, if anyone is interested in learning, about performing Batch
Number searchs, I just uploaded Powerpoint presentation on Batch
Number searches, at the Mexican FHR group.

thanks,
Jonathan

Luz Montejano Hilton

have you listened to her radio program? I tried once awhile back but
she was having techical difficulties or maybe it was me that was having
the technical difficulties and I never could hear the program.

is the radio program a regular event?

Maybe if we might try to see if we can host one of her radio programs
on the NFU podcast project. If anyone in the group knows her personally
maybe you could ask. I would think that anyone that has a radio program
could see the value of having that presentation available "all the
time" via it being archived in a Podcast.

As far as the below email addresses, thanks for them. I resent my email
that previously bounced and this time it didn't bounce. I email her to
see if she had contact information for Jose Luis Vazquez y Rodriguez de
Frias

I would also like to find contact information for Jose Antonio
Gutierrez Gutierreza

thanks for your help,

joseph

Hi Alicia,
That's interesting that you have come
across these records, but Vasquez didn't, huh?  I don't have Jauregui in my
lines.  I just recall many Jaureguis from Jalos, but during my
lifetime.  I remember thinking it was an interesting name.  I haven't
run across that name that I can recall either in Jalos microfilm that I have
looked at which leads me to believe that they may have been newcomers from
elsewhere...  maybe it was Nochistlan..., and before that?  It is a
Basque name, but you probably already know that.

Irma, I think you may have hit on a good point because according to,
Jose Luis Vasquez y Rodriguez de Frias' book titled Genealogia de
Nochistlan , Antiguo Reino de la Nueva Galicia en el Siglo XVII,
he
does not chronicle Jauregui or Yñiguez. In
