My interest in family history comes from my engagement in the Chicano Student Movement in the late 1960's. Although born in Jalisco, Mexico, I came as a child to the United States.

There will be a genealogy conference held at the University of Aguascalientes (Mexico) on Aug 28-29. Arrangements are being made at the Hotel Francia Aguascalientes for anyone wishing to stay there.

I heard the stories by my grandmother of when the men of "Che Che Campos" attacked our town in 1912. They took money and sometimes women along with them.
