I emailed you the information. Abram, this book was not available at my library. I requested an interlibrary loan. I'll bet your library could do the same for you.
There are quite a few entries for the Duran Family. Not knowing what exactly you need I emailed some images to you. Please check you email. I have sent you some information. Juanita Henniger
Correction: This is for Rosalva Jordan --the Duran family
Hi sorry,
I sent you an email earlier and it should have gone to your personal email. Unfortunately, i couldn't figure out a way to email the images to you. If you contact me off list (my email should be in the earlier email) I will then attach the files.
Who are you addressing this email to...you mentioned the Duran Family and that you had sent some information "to you," who is the "you," in your posting?

Why don't I just send you the same info I sent to Rosalva then if what you are looking for isn't included I'll do a single search. There are just some many pages listed in the index for Duran and for a even a single Duran. At a glance I see that some of your ancestors are included in the pages I sent to Rosalav. It seems you might be cousins :)

Once again, many, many thanks for sharing this valuable information with me.
Hello Pat
I also descend from Juan Ximon Duran and Regina de Aguallo. It is thru their daughter Melchora de los Reyes Duran whom married Diego de Salazar and when he died she remarried. Her second marriage to Luis de Velasco is the connection to all my Velasco family lines in Nochistlan Zacatecas. If you would like to share info send me an email thru hartparkangler@yahoo.com. I tried contacting you thru the Nuestros Ranchos link but I guess it did not reach you or it went to spam.

Hello. I just started researching my family history and was wondering if you have any of my relatives in your family tree. Most lived in several "municipios" of Nochistlan as well as Apozol and Jalpa. Recently I found out I may have had relatives in el Rancho de los Duranes. The following is all I have so far on the Duran side of my family.
1. Delfino Duran, born 1915 in Nochistlan, died 1960-62 in Las Taunas, Jalpa, ZA. He was the son of 2. Cruz Duran and 3. Juana Esquibel. He married Sebastiana Ruiz in Nochistlan, daughter of Martin Ruiz and Gregoria Valdez. Sebastiana, born 20 Jan 1914 in El Aguacate, Nochistlan, ZA, died 3 March 2007 in Agua Rica, Ixtlahuacan del Rio, Jalisco.
2. Cruz Duran was born in Tlachichila, Zacatecas.
3. Juana Esquibel was born in Zacatecas.
Children of Juana Esquibel and Cruz Duran are:
1. Ismael Duran, born 1912 in Zacatecas. He married Guadalupe Duran, daughter of Esmeregildo
Duran and Apolinaria. Esmeregildo Duran later married Angelita.
2. Delfino Duran (mentioned above).
3. M Soledad Duran (1930 Mexico Census lists 1915 as her estimated birth year.)
4. Maria Duran (1930 Mexico Census lists 1919 as her estimated birth year.)
5. Leandra Duran
Ismael, M Soledad and Maria Duran are listed in the 1930 Mexico Census at:
"Mexico Census, 1930," index and images, FamilySearch
(https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MPT9-X7T : accessed 18 Nov 2012), Ismael Duran in
household of Ismael Duran, El Aguacate, Nochistlán, Zacatecas, Mexico.
This is about all I have so far. I'm contacting a great aunt in Nochistlan, on Sebastiana's family line, to try to get more information. I don't know her, but recently acquired her last known phone number.
Juan Simon Duran and Regina de Aguayo are my 9th Great Grandparents. Do you have any information about their parents or European origins?
Jesus Gabino Duran posted on genealogy.com back in 2003 the following,
"The surname Duran mostly came from Nochistlan Mexico; Juan Duran came to Mexico in 1526, son of Garcia Duran and Catalina Sanchez. My father made a tree starting from Juan Duran Duque, I will like to share it , and have information on how to link Juan Duran Duque( +1673) with his ancestors. Maybe I will have to trace them to Spain.
Regarding Juan Duran, I have two informations , one that he was from Badajoz (Zafra) and the other that he was from Madrid ( from the recent book from Sir Hugh Thomas
We have got together in Nochistlan were a lot of people have the surname Duran"
I have not been able to contact this person to see where exactly he sourced this information.
Do you know if there is any connection between Juan Simon Duran and Juan Duran Duque?
If you still have access to the book, and if I could add a wish list, would you be able to scan & email the pages?
