The above-captioned individuals are padrinos at the baptism of Carlos Ximénes de Castro in Lagos de Moreno in 1648; can anyone shed some documented light on who they are, and what relationship they have to the infant, Carlos, hijo legitimo de Antonio Ximénes de Castro y de Doña María Lópes de Lara?

Juan Lopes de Lara y Doña
Juan López de Lara and Doña Catalina de Nava were siblings of María López de Lara. All three were children of Andrés López de Lara and María González de Villegas y López de Nava. María López de Lara also had children named Catalina and Juan.

Armando,
Thanks for that information; can you provide any documentation?
In addition to the three children named (Carlos, Catalina, and Juan), María Lópes de Nava and Antonio Ximénes de Castro also had Juan de Díos (b. unk., m. Francisca Gutiérres de Mendosa Camacho), Antonio (bap. 16 oct 1646) and Fabiana (m. 30 jul 1699). Carlos was baptized 22 feb 1648.

More info on this family can be found in Retoños de España en La Nueva Galicia (2011) by Mariano González Leal. I recommend that you try and find a copy of the 10 volume collection even though there are some errors in it.
