Ive started to look for the original documents for more details about my ancestors and occasionally can't seem to original referencing document.
Example: for the record for "Antto. Blas Barbossa Lyez" https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NBMD-54V (which I understand to be Antonio Blas Barbosa Lopez); I can't find the (18 Sep 1712) baptism record under the images:
+ Mexico, Jalisco, Catholic...Church Records, 1590-1979,
+ Cocula, San Miguel
+ Baptisms 1711-1738
+ Page 54 of 738 seems to be from 21 August 1712 to 18 Sep 1712, and Page 55 starts with 18 Sep 1712, but I dont see the referencing record.
Am I looking at this wrong?
Looking up original docs to
The link you provided states that the record is in Film number:232862
The film number 232862 is listed in the catalog as being Bautismos 1711-1738.
https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/286374
This means that the record you are looking for is definitely in Bautismos 1711-1738 which is where you were looking.
All indexed records ALWAYS match those of the volumes they reference by film number. This has never been wrong.
This means you just have to keep searching page by page and entry by entry.

Just needed to look some more
You were right, I just looked some more and found the record right around the corner (next page); which happened to have a record in reverse chronological order, 1st was Sep 19th, then Sept 18th.. I guess they were playing catchup, or spilled some wine on the originals...
A little help goes a long way!
Thanks!
