Hello, several times when I have been looking for baptismal records I have found that more than one child baptized on the same day, was given the same name. Is there some place I can find more information about naming cousins with regard to given names? Thank you.

I don't know the answer to the second part of your question, but as far as why you see the same name on several children baptized the same day,
This just one reason, my Grandparents and Mother who worked closely with the Priests in their parish in their younger years helping maintain and copy church records (like the ones on familysearch) tell me that sometimes, the parents would leave it up to the Priest to name the child, the Priest would then just choose which ever Saint was on the calendar for that day. For example, if it was St. Thomas Day, boys were Tomas and girls were Tomasa. Of course, adding Jose or Maria in there somewhere.
Again, this is just one parish, and one of the reasons. I am sure there are more reasons.

Thank you for your response. So does this mean that each parish might celebrate Saints on different days than all the other parishes, therefore, there is no master list?

There is an official "santoral Catolico". All saints recognized by the Catholic church are given a day when they are officially remembered. Here's a link that has some of the most popular saints recognized for each day of the year:

It was common, but not always practiced, that children were given a name from one of the saints honored on that day. Parishes, priests, and even relatives, had their favorite saints for each day. I hope this helps.
