Hispanic Genealogy Conference Oct 19 and 20
Just another reminder to anyone who is considering attending this conference. I am leaning towards attending and would love to see other Ranchos members there. Mickey, Josie, Kitty, Ulla-Britt and a whole bunch of us all met there last year and had a great time.
In addition to hearing George Ryskamp and our own Lynn Turner, you get the chance to do some research in the library. Salt Lake City is beautiful that time of year as well, even if there is not yet skiing.
Please contact me if you are considering going.
Salt Lake City Conference
As it turns out I will not be able to attend the conference in Salt Lake City that will be held in two weeks.
There is however, at least one Ranchos member who will be attending and would like to meet any other Ranchos members attending and perhaps share accomodations. Please contact me personally and I can help put you in touch.
Annual Hispanic Conference set for October
Looking into my notes, I was able to attend the Third conference Hispana de
Historia Familiar por "Legado Latino" Oct 14, 2000 in Provo, Utah.
I will like particularly if you are new to the research of genealogy to
encourage you to attend.
Looking back that is where I learned the most and gave me the tools to
continue my research.
For those that are old at this, like I consider myself, (I wish I can go)
since 2000 to today many technology changes have taken place.
Since I connected with Nuestros Ranchos I have learned many things on how
to access information electronically.
Well, I hope you can plan to attend.

Annual Hispanic Conference set for October
I want to encourage anyone to attend, I did attend the conference about 6
years ago, and I learned a lot.
Specially if you are new doing research you learn a lot.

I second Sylvia's sentiments about making it to the conference.
For anybody who has not been to the family history library in Salt Lake City, it is a great opportunity to spend some time there doing reasearch. Since all of the films are there (or can be ordered with a few days notice from the vaults) it makes it very convenient.
Last year a group of us Ranchos members made it to the conference and we got to know each other in person and help each other out with research in addition to attending the seminars which were very helpful.
