Ronnie,
I found your message interesting. I have been searching for my Reynoso's for many years. My grandfather, Francisco Reynoso o Renteria used to say that the family records could be found in Jalisco. He never talked much about the family in Mexico and when he did he liked to mix truth with untruth. One never knew what could be believed. I have had to find original source records and prove what I believed to be correct. More fun!
The family lived in Moyahua de Estrada, Zacatecas, Mexico. Grandpa owned Rancho Buena Vista where many family members were born and died. He also owned two other ranchos that I believe were in the area.
The last direct line ancesctor that I have record of is Silverio Reynoso o Renteria of Zacatecas. He married Maria Gregoria Carrillo. He died in Moyahua 14 July 1837. I have seen both names Francisco and Diego Reynoso on the records. I believe one or both, I can't remember right now, are on the records for Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. I know that some of my direct lines are from Juchipila. I have wondered if Francisco and Diego are related to our family. Hope I can learn this in the near future.

Reynoso
Ronnie, I forgot to mention that the Reynoso o Renteria and the Estrada's are a military family. My grandfather used to speak of an uncle that was a general, same with the Estrada's.

Hola Irene ,how are you ? well I hope. I believe (not fact)That Francisco
Reynoso and wife Josefa Renteria stayed in Jalisco and started the whole
thing. Every Reynoso from the Los altos area is from the same ancestor
Francisco Reynoso and Josefa Renteria. I believe his brother Diego Reynoso
(which is fact that married in Juchipila,Zacatecas ) and wife Margarita
started the whole Zacatecas line.Josefa Renteria and Margarita Renteria were
sisters I believe from Zacatecas. You can go to www.familysearch.org and
look these people up . You can also find the parents of the 2 Renteria
sisters and of Mariana Padilla Davila.I say all all the Reynosos are of the
same Clan.Oh by the way Francisco Reynoso who married Mariana Padilla Davila
came from Peru and his from Spain.
Let me know what you think.
p.s. I also come from Ruiz de Esparza Romo de Vivar and much more.

Hola Ronald, I found your message very interesting and exciting. I have always felt that Diego and his brother Francisco are a part of our family. I just have not been able to prove it. I really have not had much to work with, but you have shed a little more light on the matter. Thank you. Now let me run this by you. Is it possible that there was not an adoption on my line but perhaps a grandmother's surname was picked up and used through each generation. As I mentioned previously Renteria and Reynoso are used through out the records for the Reynoso line, even clear up to my grandfather. It is interesting. I have more hope now that things will come together. We could be related on both sides of the family. To give you a brief overview of my mother's lines beginning with Petronila de Moctezuma and Martin Navarro ( It was easier for me to work forward rather then back)

Reynoso
Hola Kelly(Irene),I believe so as far as the enter changing of The Names Of Renteria and Reynoso. I've seen in past centuries people are given their mothers maiden name and some times from their grandparents on the maternal side. I also come from Martin Navarro and Petronila de Moctezuma but from both her daughters .Later I'll give you one of many lines due to the fact that a lot of my ancestors are inter-related (a lot) and come from Petonila and Martin Navarro.
