My name is Joshua Goodson. I do not have much information except what I have learned from my mother. My Grandfather was born in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. His name was Francisco Romo Villanueva. He was born about 1923 and died in 1997 in California, USA. I am not sure when he moved to the United States. I was told he had a couple of sisters and maybe two brothers from Aguascalientes. They may still be living so cannot post their names. I have pictures that were sent from his family in Aguas (all were dated in the 1950's and were stamped with by a portrait studio in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. I really want to know more about him and my ancestors. He also had nephews and other family there. If anyone know anything at all, please let me know. I am new to this! Thank you....

My re-introduction
Hi Joshua,
I do know a lot of Romos in Aguascalientes, especifically the descendants of
Miguel Romo Gonzalez. I daresay all Romos in Aguascalientes are related so
you have a chance to locate your relatives right away.
Look at this link http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/15677
That is the whole genealogy since the fist Romo in Aguascalientes, Diego
Romo de Vivar born ca. 1600.
I hope this is of help.
PS I'm still waiting on people wanting to share info on DIAZ DE LEON and
TISCAREÑO surrnames from AGUASCALIENTES.
Laureen

Introduction
Hello all,
I have not yet sent in my intro so I thought that I would. My name is Michelle Gonzales but it is my husband John's family that I am researching in Jalisco. To be more specific his mother's family. They lived in the San Julian area (I believe some still do) and I just started searching the Baptismal records for 1905-1912 (LDS Film # 1151525). I also ordered Baptismal records for 1895-1905 (LDS Film # 1151524) but it has not come in yet. So if anyone has any requests, I usually go on Teusdays and Thursdays. I am pregnant and am due on June 1st so not sure how much I'll get to finish by then. I have also updated my husband's tree on the website after finding more information through these records which can be found here: http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/16434
Surnames I have found so far in San Julian area: Ramires, Perez, Martin(ez), Magana, Munoz, Garcia-Ramirez, Padilla, Centeno and Escoto. 1900-30s.
At some point I will also be researching the following (found possible family records from the IGI on LDS website):
San Miguel El Alto 1850-70s (Nasario Ramires and Silveria Martinez family/ Casimiro Peres and Anita Ramires family)
La Inmaculada Concepcion, San Diego De Alejandria 1820-50s (Nasario Ramires and Silveria Martin(ez) family)
Santa Maria De Guadalupe, Arandas early 1800s (Antonio Ramires and Ma Acencion Velasquez family possible parents of Nasario Ramires)
I am new to researching in Jalisco but not new to genealogy. So I am extremely grateful for this website and all the wonderful information to be found here.
Thank you for letting me join,
Michelle
