Does anyone have a good source for old newspaper Obituaries? I am looking for an obituary that would have been posted about six years ago.
Also, has anyone ever used this service:
http://oa.newsbank.com/oa-search/we/Archives/
The site charges per obituary and I wanted to find out if it was worth it before purchasing. Also, wanted to make sure the site was reputable.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Angie Godina
Searching for Obituaries?
Just a thought. but Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness:
http://www.raogk.org/listing.htm has folks all over that will go to the
city in question and either go to a graveyard and take photos or
possibly look up obituaries from the local libraries microfilms. Or you
could just call the city in question and request a specific obituary if
you have the date.
