Hi all. I am planning a trip to Mexico in the fall (leisure trip to Cabo San Lucas, B.C. Sur) and was wondering if anybody knows of a bookstore chain - or national bookseller - in Mexico that I can reasearch and perhaps order some geneaology books from.
Also, any ideas on upstanding book publishers (south of the border) that specialize in geneology finds???
All tips welcome.

Bookstores in Mexico
Claudia:
I have never been to Cabo San Lucas, but from my other trips to resort cities in Mexico, I doubt you will be able to find a decent book store there.
Genealogy books are generally not printed or distributed by major publishing houses and therefore are not really carried by bookstore chains. Many of the best books on history, ethnography, etc. in Mexico are printed and distributed by Fondo de Cultura Economica, which does have bookstores throughout the country, but they also sell their books online:

Another great bookstore chain in Mexico is Librerias Gandhi, which also sells online and ships to the United States. They do have a store in Cabo San Lucas on Calle Morelos s/n, Colonia Centro.

I just went to Cabo San Lucas a couple of weeks ago. There is a mall style
commercial center on the marina, it is called Puerto El Paraiso, you might find
something there.
