Online Status
Hola Grupo,
I'm sure this is going to reveal my beginners status, but here it goes. This is the first time that I've found a film listed on the Nuestros Ranchos website that has an ancestor of mine. This particular film could solve my which of two Marcos Sepulbeda's is mine mystery. It's an Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco film #222109, batch C603001. My ancestor listed on the film is Petra Maria Sepulbeda baptised 11/03/1735. Parents listed are Marcos Sepulbeda and Ma Margarita Franco. If the grandparents are listed, that would solve my long-lasting mystery.
The question is: does the listing of these films on the NR site mean that a member has these films and can do a look-up? Thank you so much for your help in this matter. Alice

Trip to Salt Lake City
Hi Alice
If you don't have an answer to your Petra Maria Sepulbeda 11/3/1735, then send me your request. Rich and I will be in the FHL in SLC this coming August. We would be happy to look it up for you.
When we go to the FHL in SLC we ONLY do complete lookups and we don't do any 'hunting' If anyone else has a brick wall AND you know the film number, date, names of the parties, then send to us a request off-line and we will try to get them for you. Which means we will print them off in SLC and then come home and scan them and send them off to you. I know we might be opening up a can of worms here, but we will try to do as many as we can. Put in your subject line:
FHL SLC lookup
Then list
Film Number - Bapt/Marriage - Date - all Names known
We will be in SLC for a wedding anniversary on the 19th of August and plan on staying to visit the library. Let us know if any other members will be there about that time and we will meet up with you.
Please keep your request off-line from Nuestros Ranchos.

NR films
Hi--
If there is someone in the group who has the film on reserve, the name would be listed under the "Borrowers" column in the films area. I don't see anyone listed for the film you mentioned, so it looks like no one has it as an indefinite film. Good luck!

Some of the members have films checked out to them on a permanent basis.
You need to contact the particular member who has the film that has your
data of interest, ask him if he (she) can help you by looking up the names
of the people you are researching.

Good Morning Group,
It's my understanding now about the NR films, that if the film I'm interested in has no name listed under "borrower", then opening it on the NR site is the same as accessing it through IGI--no more or less info to be had. Thanks again for your help, and it's back to the FHC for me! Alice

I've been here 3 years; every day at NuestrosRanchos is a first day for me whenever I find an ancestor.
Enjoy the adventure, Primo!
