Gentlemen,
you are both welcome to any help I can provide in finding your Sanchez Castellanos line. The book Fundadores de Nueva Galicia Tomo I by Garamendia shows a Francisco Sanchez Castellano is in Tlaltenango before Nicolas on May 1st 1631.
Gracias.

Tomasina
My question was in regards to why Tomasina used the alternate surname. I know many families used alternate surnames, but I am interested to know if you have any specific information regarding Tomasina. I may be asking too much, but this specific area of research may help answer some questions that may unlock my research block, right now. My 9x great-grandfather's first wife was Ana Lamas O Saucedo. He later married Josefa Tello de Orozco, but had to get permission from Guadalajara because they were 3rd cousins.
Thanks
Tomasina de Haro y Saucedo
Sanchez-Castellanos
When she got married on 1634 with Juan Sanchez (Sanchez-Castellanos) she used Tomasina de Saucedo, when they baptized for example his son Manuel she used Tomasina de Saucedo, but with others sons and the census of 1650 in Tlaltenango she used Tomasina de Haro.
Saucedo
Porque es "AKA Tomasina de Saucedo"?
Saucedo
AKA = also known as
Is this where you want clarification?
