Hello everyone. I pray and hope you all had a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
I have been searching for one of my great-grandfathers and could not find his birth documents---date of birth and place of birth. I did find all of his children (15) it looks like---could someone help me in my search for both my
great-grandfather and grandmother. All of their children were born in Arandas so I am assuming both Jose Manuel and Maria Magdalena were from Arandas---but as my Mother use to say---do not assume...check it out. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

Jose Manuel Gutierrez: b. 1763, Arandas, Jalisco or in Jalostitl
There are a lot of baptisms that are missing from the records and therefore
some will never be found. I have some ancestors for whom the baptisms are
missing. The baptism of Jose Manuel Gutierrez de Mendoza y Santos Bustos
can't be found and it is the reason he isn't mentioned in Retoños de España
Tomo V Volumen I capitulo Gutiérrez de Mendoza página 87. The father of
Jose Manuel, Juan José Gutiérrez de Mendoza Hurtado de Mendoza, was born in
Lagos de Moreno. The mother of Jose Manuel, María de San Juan Santos Bustos
y Hernández Gamiño, was baptized in Ayo El Chico on 24 Mar 1738, where she
was married on 20 Feb 1754. The wife of Jose Manuel was María Magdalena
Martín del Campo y Jiménez de Castro the daughter of Juan Cayetano de la
Santísima Trinidad Martín del Campo and María de la Asunción Jiménez de
Castro y Galvan de Rojas. Camacho is not one of her surnames. Camacho
Riquelme is the maternal surname of the great-grandfather of Jose Manuel.
The only places you will be able to find reported ages, when the baptisms
are missing, is from records of Información Matrimonial and Dispensas.
