Hola miembros,
My name is Ashlynn Marie Castaneda. I joined a few weeks ago, but didn't
get a chance to introduce myself while finishing up classes. I just
graduated college last week and am taking a year off for an internship
before going to law school. I'm hoping to use this time to further my
ancestral search. I'm focusing on my female line right now since my dad is
not nearly as interested or as excited as my mom by searching for records.
I'm hoping to find the marriage record and parents of Apolonia de Mendoza
and Jose Ruvalcaba. I believe they're both from Encarnación de Díaz. They
would've been married somewhere between 1800 - 1820, I'm guessing. They
probably would've been born around 1800. I only know they're names from the
marriage record of their child that I descend from. Hopefully, someone will
be able to assist.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend,
Ashlynn

Apolonia de Mendoza
Armando,
This is amazing. I never imagined I'd make it into the 1700s and just like
that you brought me into the 1500s. This group is incredible. Would it be
alright if I emailed you later with a couple of questions?

Hello Ashlynn,
I posted most of the following in your thread at
http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/es/node/21539 but since at times the email
notifications fail for posts on sites at times I will send it in an email
with some additional info.
The parents of José Ruvalcaba were Juan Antonio Rubalcava Villalobos and
Isabel Macias married 27 May 1764 in Aguascalientes.
Film 299828
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-11082-70037-48?
Juan Antonio Rubalcava Villalobos was baptized 8 Feb 1730 in Aguascalientes
and his parents were Miguel González de Rubalcava and María Villalobos y
Escoto Tovar.
The registro matrimonial and the Información Matrimonial of Miguel González
de Rubalcava and María Villalobos y Escoto Tovar are missing but the
parents of María Villalobos y Escoto Tovar are known thanks to the
following dispensa
Dispensa Film 168151 Matrimonios 1809

María Villalobos y Escoto Tovar was baptized 28 Feb 1694 in Aguascalientes
and her parents were Isidro de Villalobos Macías Valadez and Francisca
Gertrudis Escoto y Tovar.
Isidro de Villalobos Macías Valadez was buried 27 April 1699 in
Aguascalientes. His parents were Francisco de Villalobos y Pérez and María
Vásquez de Retamosa who married 22 May 1640 in Teocaltiche.
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-19053-2891-27?
The reason we know we have the right baptism of Isidro de Villalobos Macías
Valadez is because of a dispensa that shows that he is a sibling of Antonia
de Villalobos and her registro matrimonial mentions her parents.

Since the marriage document is torn the surname of Maria Perez's father is
not seen nor the first name of her mother but we can conclude that the
surname should be Perez and the mother's surname is Madalena (Magdalena).
Therefore her parents are Cristóbal Pérez and ? Magdalena. There is a

Ashlynn,
Esther is right, the parents are Salvador de Mendoza and Maria Delgado. That is confirmed by the marriage record of Apolonia de Mendoza and Jose de Robalcaba who were married on 15 Jan 1806 in Encarnacion de Diaz. Here is the link: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18564-57408-10?cc=1874591&wc…
Salvador de Mendoza and Maria Lopez Delgado are my 5th Great Grandparents through Apolonia's sister Maria Guadalupe de Mendoza. I can give you a little more information, but I dead end a generation later. Salvador de Mendoza, mestizo and Maria Lopez Delgado, Española were married on 29 May 1774 at Nuestra Señora de los Dolores in Teocaltiche. Maria Lopez Delgado is the hija natural of Esteban Lopez and Rita Delgado. Salvador de Mendoza is the legitimate son of indian chieftain don Blas de Mendoza, Cacíque and Maria de Jesus Díaz, Española.
Actually, If anyone has the parents or knows anything about don Blas de Mendoza or Maria de Jesus Díaz, that would be great. Thanks everyone.

Hi Everyone,
I should have probably mentioned that don Blas de Mendoza and Maria de Jesus Díaz would have been born sometime around 1730 in Teocaltiche or Encarnación de Díaz and married around the middle of the century. Thanks Everyone.

Christopher,
I found a Blas Mendoza, ch. 29 Oct 1720 in Jalostitlan, Jalisco, film
0279254, (1707-1722) and it mentions parents as Juan Antto. y Franca. De
Mendoza. Would this be something you are interested in?

There's a child born 8 Apr 1816 (film # 1155174) in Encarnacion de Diaz,
Jalisco named Ma. Teodora Robalcaba Mendoza and it lists not only Jose
Robalcaba an Apolonia Mendosa but also mentions maternal grandparents as:
Salvador Mendoza and Maria Delgado.
I think that might change their marriage date to an earlier time. Another
child besides those you might already have is Rafaela Rubalcaba Mendoza,
ch. 10 Sep 1817, film # 1155174.
Hope this helps.

Since the marriage document is torn the surname of Maria Perez's father is not seen nor the first name of her mother but we can conclude that the surname should be Perez and the mother's surname is Madalena (Magdalena). Therefore her parents are Cristóbal Pérez and ? Magdalena. There is a marriage entry in the same church for a couple with these names within a reasonable time frame for them to be the parents of María.
Cristóbal Pérez López and María Magdaleno Hernández married 19 Dec 1577
