Welcome to the group Mia.  I didn’t have Nazario Ponce in my records, I’m
not sure how I missed him, but, you’re right about his grandparents. I descend
from them as well. Juan Nepomuceno Muñoz and Guadalupe Diaz, as well as,
Gregorio Ponce and Maria Gertrudis Rangel are my 6th Great
Grandparents. I’ll tell you what I know, starting with the Muñoz Gonzalez de
Hermosillo/Diaz de Leon line first.  
Juan Nepomuceno Muñoz and Guadalupe Diaz were married on 8

Juan Nepomuceno Muñoz (born Apr 1782) was the son of Joseph
Thomas Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Michaela de Acosta y Pedroza.  Guadalupe Diaz (born May 1785) was the
daughter of Vicente Diaz de Leon and Antonia de Medina.
Joseph Thomas Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Michaela de

Joseph Thomas Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo (born Dec 1732) was
the son of Cayetano Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Agustina Gertrudis de
Guzman y Prado.  Michaela de Acosta y
Pedroza (born Abt. 1751) was the natural born daughter of Don Francisco de

Cayetano Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Agustina Gertrudis
de Guzman y Prado were married on 22 Feb 1731 in Aguascalientes. Cayetano Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo (born Feb 1708) was
the son of Melchor Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Maria Rangel. Agustina
Gertrudis de Guzman y Prado (born Sep 1706) was the daughter of Joseph de
Guzman y Prado and Catarina de Mendoza.
Melchor Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Maria Rangel were
married on 27 Jan 1682 in Aguascalientes.                                                                                  
The parents of Melchor Muñoz Gonzalez de Hermosillo are not
named in his marriage record. But, Maria Rangel is the daughter of Juan Tiscareño
and Isabel Romo de Vivar.  
Juan Tiscareño is the son of Luis Tiscareño de Molina and Lorenza
Ruiz de Esparza. Lorenza Ruiz de Esparza is the daughter of Lope Ruiz de
Esparza and Ana Francisca de Gabay y Moctezuma.
Isabel Romo de Vivar is the daughter of Diego Romo de Vivar and
Maria Rangel.
 
Ponce/Martel/Rangel line
Gregorio Ponce and Maria Gertrudis Rangel were married in

Gregorio Ponce (born Abt. 1765) is the son of Miguel Ponce aka
Martel and Guadalupe de Medina. Maria Gertrudis Rangel (born 4 Jan 1777) is the
daughter of Phelipe Rangel and Dionicia Perez.
Miguel Ponce aka Martel and Guadalupe de Medina were married in
Aguascalientes on 1 May 1764.  Miguel
Ponce aka Martel (born Abt. 1728 is the son of Bartolome Martel and Juana
Manuela Lozano de Gardea.  Guadalupe de
Medina (born Abt. 1747) is the daughter of Francisco Xavier de Medina and
Francisca Bernales Delgado.
Bartolome Martel born Aug 1697 is the son of Miguel Martel and
Catalina Velasco de Anguiano.
Miguel Martel and Catalina Velasco de Anguiano were married 4 Nov
1696 in Aguascalientes.
Miguel Martel was the son of Miguel Martel and Mariana de Morales.
Miguel Martel and Mariana de Morales were married 28 Feb 1673.
Miguel Martel was the son of Hernando Martel and Beatriz de
Villegas aka Macias Valadez.  Hernando
Martel and Beatriz de Villegas (born Dec 1618) were married 22 Oct 1634.
Beatriz de Villegas was the daughter of Pedro Macias Valadez and Luisa de
Villegas.

Hello All - my name is Mia Montemayor and I've only been doing research for a few weeks now. Using family search, I was able to locate several records of my ancestors, including my great great grandparents Jose Aurelio Ponce born in Aguascalientes on March 26th 1886 and Valentina Ramirez born May 21st 1880. Jose Aurelio Ponce's parents were Francisco Ponce and Maria del Refugio Lopez from Aguascalientes. And, Francisco's parents were Nazario Ponce and Paula Castañeda. I recently located the birth of Nazario Ponce, so, I know his paternal grandparents are Gregorio Ponce and Gertrude Rangel and his maternal grandparents are Nepoceno Munoz and Guadalupe Diaz and I was hoping to find out as much as I can about those two couples. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the group.
