I'm hoping someone can help me find the testament and capellania for Marcos Gonzalez from Jalpa who died in 1670. For some reason his death is registered in Aguascalientes on 08 April 1670--did he die in Aguascalientes?:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11773-146417-83?cc=1502404…
His wife is Juana Gonzalez Lozano and his brother is Nicolas Gonzalez. Marcos Gonzalez was the owner of the Hacienda San Andres which was located between Jalpa and Calvillo (this information is from the Tierra & Aguas records). The death record says that Marcos made a will (testamento) and also funded a capellania.
I have a hard time reading some of the abbreviations--what else does the record say? Is the capellania in Jalpa or Aguascalientes? Is Juan Romo de Vibar the notary that wrote the will?
Has anyone gone thru the capellania records found in the Diócesis de Guadalajara? I started looking, but they're not in any particular order:

Thanks in advance.

Marcos Gonzalez Hidalgo del Valle
I found a partial transcription of the testament of Marcos Gonzalez Hidalgo, here: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gonz%C3%A1lez_Hidalgo-20
More specifically Marcos' parents are Marcos Gonzalez Hidalgo del Valle and Mariana (Juana) NAVARRO RODRIGUEZ, who settled in Monterrey. See the links below:

and

Is anyone a direct male ancestor of this Gonzalez line, as I'm interested in seeing if my paternal DNA is a match.

Marcos Gonzalez - Testamento
Hello Arturo,
Go to: http://sigue.aguascalientes.gob.mx/axweb/
Username: sigue.publica
Password: publica
Once you log-in, right-click on SGG-ARCHIVO-HISTORICO - ACERVOS COLONIALES SIGLOS XVII A XIX, and select "New Query." (double-click, if you’re on a mac)
For "Lugar" choose "Aguascalientes"; for CONTRATANTES, type in Miguel Gonzalez and click SUBMIT. The image should open up and you can download it. The date of his testamento is 17 Mar 1670; there are 8 pages.
Good luck, and let me know if you can’t open it, and I’ll download it and email it to you.
Saludos,
