I have just uploaded an index to Aguascalientes Matrimonial Investigation films 299573-299575. The link is http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/18014

These films, according to the Family Search catalog, cover 1731-32, 1733-34, and 1735-36 respectively. However, film 299574 also includes the matrimonial investigations for the period 1735-58; this later group is primarily for indians.

The pdf is searchable, but please keep in mind the typical spelling variations of the period.

The matrimonial investigations are not in chronological order, but are presented in the order they are given in the digitized films.

These films were re-posted while I was creating the index. I believe I've corrected all the image numbers, but if you cannot find a particular digitized image look a few pages past the indicated image number.

There are about 940 records in this group.

Thank you for the assist George! My research led me to a Diego Delgado who wants to marry Maria Carrillo. I was about to go searching for records in Aguascalientes, and dreaded those mixed up records. Then I remembered your noticed and used the pdf lists to locate image 29 in Vol. 1715-18 years. It turns out Diego is the widower of Nicolasa Lopes de Lisaldi. They had 12 children according to my records.

Here is the complexity of his second marriage to Maria Carrillo de Sandi.

Maria Carrillo is also known as Maria Estrada.

Problem 1. If Diego(MQMM-KGF in Familysearch.org)was born in 1758 and had children with his second wife up 1728 seems farfetch but possible at 70 years of age. The children I found were born between 1720 to 1728, but they married in 1715.

Problem 2. In addition there are two records that have same names to diego and maria carrillo for children born in 1694 and 1696 in Jalisco but he was still married to Nicolasa and having children. I did not look up the children's baptism to help confirm they belong to this couple or another, but maybe someone might have better records on these two. This needs further investigation but not sure I would be able to distinguish if maybe these children belong to his son Diego Delgado, or another Diego Delgado who I do not have a wife listed. Thanks Again!!

Thank you so much George. This work of yours helps people break through brick walls. I had spent three decades looking for some of my De la Torre ancestors and was able to finally find them because Claudia had provided a link to their marriage dispensation. It was this link that connected me to the work I had done on Hidalgos genealogy. It was only through that link that that I descend from the Cervantes line. That is also the only line that I have connected step by step to the Boccanegra family in Genoa It is also I believe how I hook up with Luis [Luciano] Lomelin. All my other Lomelin ancestry descends from Carlo Lomelin. It is also this this line gives a clear picture of an ancestor that was Jewish all along while pretending to be a converso all the way to his deathbed. His last words calling out to Adonai I can hear ringing through my ears. This line also connects my lineage to Fez in Morroco Africa. This line also is the only one that connects me to an ancestral Family in Pisa, Italy.

If I hadn't broken through that de la torre brickwall, I most likely would have continued trying to break through, and not work on the de la Torre Ledesma ancestry into Spain.
All this was only found because of the extra work done to index the marriage dispensation. Without that brickwall falling down, I wouldn't of continued searching these lines.

Thanks again for helping people break through some walls. We need successes to keep going, and this work really does make it easier to check out many possibilities.
