Does anyone know where Mesquite de Charco is located?
I have been looking for this family for a long time and recently found their marriage record 6 March 1803. The following is their IM
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GGLV-T7Y
Jose Tomas Rodriguez (B:1776 in Camarillo, Mesquite de Charco) and Maria Dorothea Contreras en Los Contreras, Mesquite de Charco (1783)
I have seen this name before but can't remember if it was in Zacatecas, or San Luis Potosi. Los Contreras, I have seen this some time ago and can't remember where and I've looked through some records of the contreras and can't find the location. two of their children were born in Lagunillas, but the records are missing or illegible another was born in las Vuidas, I believe in that is in Asientos, Aguascalientes.
Thanks for your help!!

Contreras
To my knowledge, Los Contreras was a ranch that is now in the town of Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, Zacatecas. At that time, it would have been part of Nueva Galicia which put it under the jurisdiction of Guadalajara. I saw "Los Contreras" a lot on the Tumblr Dispensas.

Contreras
Hello,
I have a few relatives born in Rancho Contreras as recent as 1880. My farthest Contreras is
Maria Gertrudes Ramona Cardenas ( born circa 1798 Momax, Zac)
Married Juan Jose Ribera in 1814 Momax.
Her parents are Augustin Cardenas and Maria Tejada.
It's a line I have yet to research. My notes say that the Contreras of Momax and Tlaltenango intermarried often with Briceno and Orozco.
Anything ring a bell? I will focus on both Ribera and Contreras soon. Good luck.

Los Contreras
Hey man check the Tumblr Index I linked on my first reply. Besides Los Contreras, I think I saw Tlaltenango mentioned.
