Sinaloa Civil Records

The Sinaloa Civil records are not currently online at neither Family Search nor Ancestry.com. I have read that the LDS church entered into an agreement with the State of Sinaloa in 2013 to microfilm them.

Does anyone know the status of this project?

Hi George,

I can tell you that there was a push to index the Sinaloa Civil Registration records around the summer of 2016. I know because I indexed some records for Mazatlan from the 1860s or so. I hope that's indicative of FamilySearch/Ancestry working to bring them up for genealogical use soon.
