I found three different marriage records for Andrés de la Torre and Marcela de Araiza and I am trying to make sense of them.
The first record, dated January 1721 (El Sagrario, Aguascalientes), states they are “casado y no velado” in the margin.
The second record, dated 24 January 1721 (Ojuelos), says “case y vele” in the text.
The third record, dated 6 years later on 24 February 1727 (Asientos), states “bendiciones nupciales” in the text and “casados y velados” in the margin.
I suspect they are the same couple in the first two records but I am not so sure about the third. Unfortunately for me the latter is the only one of the three that provides the names of their parents.
Is anyone else familiar with this couple or their respective families? Any assistance, information, or insight given would be greatly appreciated.
