This was actually one of the topics that I wanted to get to as soon as I became a member on here. I noticed that you had asked in a post months ago for a list of regiments from Zacatecas. To note, it is possible many of our Zacatecas ancestors served in the state militia or national guard as Zacatecas touted a rather large force during the era of President de Santa Ana, at its height in the 1830's it is estimated to have stood at 17,000 men.

I have not found any particular Zacatecas national guard or militia unit that served during the Mexican-American war, considering no fighting took place near Zacatecas. However, there were numerous engagements for Zacatecas during la guerra de la reforma during the late 1850's and once again during the French intervention in the 1860's.
I have yet to find the specific regiments of this era though.

Have you tried to ask them to make you a copy and mail it to you ? Or ask them if there´s anyone that they may know who can take the foto maybe for a small fee .
