Hi everyone,
My name is Maria Elena Gutierrez-Uhlenburg, I took a couple of years off from genealogy but I'm back now. My research started in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico and has now gone back Spain and Italy. I wanted to say a special hello to my cousins Irma Gomez and Maria Cortez. Genealogy is an addiction in itself once you get started.

Hi prima,
I hope this email finds you and your family well. I just found out that my
great tia Juaquina Gutierrez (Maiden) sister of Norberto Gutierrez died in
So Cal. Do you know where I can find her obit and picture? I searched the
San Diego Obits but could not find it. I'm not sure what her married name
was or her surviving family names. Thanks in advance!

Juaquina Gutierrez
Prima,
I wrote to you about it. Remember? It's Joaquina Martinez, she was your grandfather's sister as well as my grandmother's sister. She was the daughter (youngest) of Norberto and Margarita. She died in Chula Vista and her body was taken to Tijuana where she had lived. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son who died young. We went to her funeral mass and I gave the cousins a family tree poster that I put together after I got info from her daughter, Guadalupe. It was a great pleasure for me to share the info with them and I know they enjoyed it and promised to share old photos and will help fill in the blanks on the other decendents. I will try to send you a photo of her when she was young. She was one of the most beautiful women in the family.
