Hello all, I have my Rubio de Monroy line back to Spain now, Valladolid to be exact. I discovered using Guadalajara films in the mid 1600s-late 1600s. That this surname was created when Miguel de Monrroy married Luisa Rubio's son (who's also named Diego.) He must have traveled to New spain around 1645-1647 because he is married by then. I havent been able to find a pasaje a indias. I was able to locate the IGI record for them the Guadalajara record said 'originarios de los reynos de castilla'. But had no clue it would be Valladolid. Anyway, if any one has access to the Salt Lake Library or is going soon, I would ask if they could look this up it seems Valaldolid has good records. I always have trouble ordering films that include Spain for some reason. Its been 3 times they confuse my order or something goes wrong. Well the record is below: Many thanks in advance -Daniel Camino
