Does anyone have the mailing address for Nuestra Senora De Belen Church in Asientos, Aguascalientes? I would like to obtain a copy of the baptism certificate of my g-g-grandmother, Ciriaca Paula Marchan (b. 7-5-1790). Her parents were Juan De Dios Marchan and Maria Marzelina Gonzalez. I have tried the Mexico Yellow pages on the internet and was not able to find it. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Nurestra Senora De Blen Church
María,
All church records for the State of Aguascalientes have been uploaded the the Family Search Pilot site by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, covering from the year 1616 through 1961. That includes baptisms, confirmations, pre-marital information, marriages, deaths, etc. It is amazing what the mormons have done in this regard in the last 60-70 years, first microfilming and scanning hundredths of thousands of records in churches throughout the world, and more recently uploading them onto their FamilySearch Pilot site. Access is free for anyone researching his or her genealogy. I spent several years checking rolls of film at a local Family History Center here in Dallas, but now all I have to do is seat in front of my computer in the comfort of my own home, and display the same records that are on microfilm. They have NOT been indexed yet, so you need to know the exact date of the event to narrow it down, but if you have patience you can browse the records having only an approximate date. Not all the states are currently available. So far the mormon church has uploaded the states of Aguascalientes, Baja California, Campeche, Chihuahua, Coahuila and Colima, apparently in alphabetical order. At the current pace, it may take several months or years before San Luis Potosi becomes available, but in the meantime you can order the microfilm to find the specific records you want to check. The rental per microfilm is only US $5.50 for an entire month. You don't have to belong to the mormon church to use their Family History Center facilities. Anyone is welcome, regardless of faith or religious preference. And no-one tries to convert you, either.
The link to access the LDS pilot site is as follows:
http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start
Do not fill out anything on the first page. Click "Browse our record collections" near the bottom. The display shows a small map of the world.
Using your mouse, click anywhere on the Canada, USA and Mexico region. A list of 97 available collections will be displayed. Mexico is at the bottom. The first line reads "Mexico Aguascalientes Catholic Church Records 1616-1961". Click on that line. The next page shows a list of feligresias (parishes) : Aguascalientes, Asientos, Calvillo, Jesus Maria and Rincon de Romos. Click on Asientos... etc.
Let me know if you have any problems accessing this site or if you have any questions.
Good luck,
