I can't read much of this, I'd appreciate some help.

Name: Christoval Manuel Castañeda
Date: 1 Jan 1709
Father: Hernando de Castañeda
Mother: Antonia Perez

Thanks everyone. I'm disappointed that the priest didn't say how old the boy was, usually they write xx dias de nacido. Also, some of these priests have horrible writing, plus the wear and tear of the years.

This baptismal record reads as follows:

Al margen: "Christoval Manuel Español de este Pueblo Padrinos = Juan de Castañeda y Agustina Maria de Saldivar"

"En el año del Señor de mil setecientos y nuebe en el Pueblo de Taltenango baptize y puse los Santos Oleos a Christoval Manuel hijo de Hernando de Castañeda y de Antonia Perez españoles y vecinos desta Jurisdicion Padrinos Juan de Castañeda y Agustina María de Saldivar [a quienes] les adverti la cognacion espiritual y obligacion de enseñarle la doctrina Christiana y para que conste lo firme." [f] "Manuel de Messa Messa**"

** Este es un error. La firma debería decir Manuel de Messa y Cervantes, como en las partidas anteriores.

You have correctly stated the date, 1 Jan 1709.

has anyone helped you?
I see what you have is correct. I also see the Padrinos: Juan de
Castañeda and Agustinna de Saldivar.
I also see where it states that Hernando & Antonia are 'vecinos de Tlat.
un mes". So they were new to the area.
